a lot of times if you get rid of the roosters it will solve the noise issue.

Brine for 3 hours, dip in mayo, apply a mixure of bread crumbs, pepper, salt, garlic powder, and paprika. Bake in shallow pan at 350 F for about an hour. Serve with a salad and some ice tea.

There are lots of people that live in town that have a few chickens for the fresh eggs, They are not crazy!!! Chickens make less noise than the neighbors damn dog.

I don't know when it became trendy to become a farmer, but old-school farmers understand...you need !@#$%# land to raise barnyard animals! Barn, Yard.

You are such an idiot that im inclined to think this is a bogus post. If you value those animals more than a place to live then you deserve to be homeless. By the way....when you are homeless, the other bums will steal and eat them so just think about you situation and dont be retarded.

I agree with the above... There are usually rescue programs or a 4H who will take the animals and make sure they're cared for properly. Finding a new home for yourself along with the poultry may be more difficult. And really, are eggs all that expensive anyway?? Even the organics are pretty cheap. Sound like you just need to take a long hard look at your priorities here...

op, you don't need a rooster for your hens to lay eggs....you only need a rooster to fertilize them once a year when they go broody so you can hatch the new clutch of chicks for the coming spring....and it's less of a hassle to buy a few dozen pre-sexed eggs anyway. most cities or towns prohibit raising livestock within city limits so try to find yourself a nice place in the country where you can raise your chickens in peace!
