How you can be supportive is listen if he needs to talk, hold him if he needs to cry, and help him get whatever help he needs.

Just being there. I'm sure you've known alot of people who were molested, and didn't know it, because they're not apt to tell people.

Better to voice it out then to repress it for years. My husband did not tell me till the eighth year we were together. Just remember a cycle of abuse often repeats itself. Not always but often.

Be supportive of the openness he is expressing. Tell him something about yourself that no one knows. You can feel more connected with him that way and he to you.

i am on my way to being a CSI because i was molested and others who were molested by the same guy were killed. I have had vengeance in my heart all my life...encourage him to make a difference!

If he told you on the first date, run from him.

The guy I was seeing opened up to me and told me he was molested, then completely shut off and pushed me away. I love and miss him still. I wish everyday he could just be ok and be with me. It's going to be hard and you will have to be strong. I wish I could have been. Good luck.
