50? Hell you may still have 50 years left! I felt the same way, but got on some meds that make me feel better. Go to a shrink and get some anti-depressants, they really do help most people.

I feel the same way. Whey my mother died that was it. My husband is chronically depressed and makes me miserable. I have no children. If it weren't for my dogs I'd end it all.

I tell you, I know how you feel. 50 SUCKS! But it's too early to die. I've been there but now I've convinced myself to move on! I was thinking that way ON anti-depressants. I feel better now that I've kicked them.

Age has nothing to do with it. I felt this way when I was thirty. I really wanted to kill myself because everything in my life had gone wrong, and it seemed like the end of the world. But I got my second wind and I graduated college at 36. When I was almost fifty, I went to law school. Don't throw in the towel - you can rebuild your life!
