Maybe someday a good man will earn his way back into your heart. Be cautious, but don't shut yourslf off. I'm a 59 year old man and that is what I did. Now I am alone and will no doubt finish taht way. It's not so bad, but to have a true love would have been nice.MRD

I know how you feel. Half my family turned their back on me. The ones that didn't are the ones I associate with. The rest are just part of the scenery.

^You don't know that, so don't ASSUME things that you know nothing about. I have family issues myself so I feel for the OP. If she/he did talk them away, there was probably a very good reason for it.
