It happens, ride it out, shut the computer off and read a decent book about real life. You will get through it I know.

Seeing a doctor is a good idea. All the above ideas are good ones too. Anxiety attacks are no joke.

I had severe attacks after major surgery and had to come off the narco meds.I thought I was having a heart attack 24/7.One exercise that works is remove yourself from whatever environment you're in at time of attack and stare straight at the floor, nothing else and slowly breathe to get your heart to stop pounding.I also went to book store and bought a book on overcoming anxiety attacks and read it cover to cover. It became my bible.I no longer have them and if I do feel one coming on I've learned to stop them. Good luck to you.

I had them too. I identified them after getting the crap scared out of me numerous times.. NOW, if one comes on I start laughing and tell myself "ok DUMB Shi* YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS!!... and it goes away! Practice.

Hey, I like that last post. Fear is a choice. We all have to learn how to make different choices.

Stop looking at the "big picture". It will always be bigger than you. Baby steps.
