If you think keeping it to yourself will help, then by all means. A positive attitude brings about positive results:)

What online course are you taking? Just print out a bogus certificate and be done with it.

Very often I do the same. Ex: when I bought my first house I stayed quiet until after closing.

Nothing like passing an online course to brand "FAILURE" on your forehead.

I do most things and only reveal them afterward, from haircuts to job changes to relationships, even quitting smoking and so on. I don't want everyone's opinion and I don't want additional pressure nor to publicly fail. Your failure only counts to you anyway, good luck!

^ Agree big time! If you are doing, you are doing for yourself. If you fail, who needs everyone around you to start with the "Loser" comments. Get the job done. The success will probably reveal itself in your own satisfaction.

3^ I blocked my family til after the deed was done, with excellent results. Mom had time to recover a little with friends before dealing with that mess.

What's wrong with failing a class? Failure is how we learn to deal with LiFe (probably ultimately more important than this class). Try anything, tell everyone, fall flat on your face and try again. Anyone who loves you won't care you failed and will be proud of you for trying. :)
