Have you been romantic with this person? Maybe if you are friends they love you as a friend, not a lover, not a sexual partner. In many ways your relationship is probably more profound and will last much longer. Find someone of your own to screw.

Sorry to learn of your frustration. Perhaps it will be a very small comfort to know that this is more common than you realize. FYI... 30 years later I reconnected with a girl/woman about whom I'd felt this way in grad school. She told me she really regrets the decision she made and wishes she'd gone with me. Oh well.
