You're depressed because you know life will never get any better. It's the best it will ever be, and can only go down hill from here.

I hear you. I am too. I am an emotional roller coaster and my life is very good right now. I am going to the doctor.

When you suffer from chronic depression, it's caused by chemicals in your brain, not by life events. When someone has something sad happen, they get depressed and that's normal. When one is depressed for no apparent reason, that's chronic depression and you need to see someone about it.

While things may be going well to the naked eye, the first sign of many health issues (thyroid disease, diabetes, cancer, etc) is depresson and tiredness. It is time to go for a check up.

Agreed with the iodine comment, and do other things to bolster your diet, but also, despite things going materially "the best" for you, deep inside, you know that you are a spiritual being, and that you're missing your natural relationship with KRISHNA, the Supreme Loving/Lovable Person. Read the Bhagavad-Gita and visit a local Hare Krishna temple and talk to some mature devotees there. I promise, you'll feel WORLDS better immediately.

A doctor and it will help a lot. I avoided that for years thinking it would go away or get better. Finally my SO said he wasn't going to stay with me unless I went to see someone. I finally did and my only regret is that I didn't go sooner.

Right now, the world is not going to give you much sympathy. There are too many people today who have a genuine reason to be depressed. See a therapist, counsellor, MD, it doesn't matter. Make sure it's someone who can write a Rx and make sure you take the stuff. When you get the right meds, in one month you will wonder why you ever felt the way you do today. If you aren't willing to do this, then just STFU because no one wants to hear you whine just for attention. Take it from somebody who has been there.

I wish you the best, but be careful of anti-depressants. I'm happier depressed, than on them. I am embarassed, when I see myself on old videos, when I was taking them. They made me too wild and careless.

This happens to me every so often.... But, there are a hundred people who would trade you any day of the week for your problems. It helps me put things into perspective.

You're probably affraid of when the bottom will fall out from under you. Just remember, sometimes good things happen, and sometimes bad things happen. Just make the best of all situations.

The right dosage of antidepressants will help you immensely. If they make you into someone you aren't, then either your dosage needs adjusted or you need to try a different one. Mine had to be adjusted several times by the doctor til it was right for me. It was worth going through it though. Just do it!
