Sometimes it's no matter how much we give it's actually not what they want. Ask what they want, seriously, rationally and systematically find out what they want. Explore their mind. See if there is a way to redirect your giving. See if they know what they want. If they don't, if you can't give what they want, then you have to go.

For better or worse. These things happen in all relationships at some point. It's could be the added stress of having a new family to take care of. The spouse will most likely come around, especially if you are understanding and patient. I don't know what sanctity of marriage people try to protect if they all say bail at the first sign of distress.
