Yet she had you and without her you wouldn't be here. Without her waking up at 3 in the morning to feed you you would be dead. Maybe she wasn't great but she was there for you when you couldn't even open your eyes. Have some respect.

What if I told you that before you were born, you chose your mom so that she could teach you lessons you needed to learn in this life? What if she agreed to play the role of "less than best mom" so that you could evolve spiritually in some way? You can continue to wish this as long as you like but in the end as long as you keep judging and blaming her it is YOU who will remain stuck in your life. My mother played a horrible role for me. She tried to kill me several times among other things, but I forgive her and I honor the role she played. I am a better person for all the pain she gave me. I know how to love, to learn, to forgive and have empathy for others. Maybe she WAS the best mom for you?

You get 2 chances at a parent/child relationship. Once when you're a child and Once when you're an adult. Make the best out of being a parent when that day comes, if you choose that route. My mom is average at best and everyday I strive to be the best mom to my kids - that was my moms gift to me (the example of how NOT to be). Good luck. :o)

I loved my mom but she made my life very hard in many ways. I did not have a quality relationship with a woman until mom passed away.
