My wife and I are in the same place. we've agreed to stay together for the sake of our small children, but she doesn't love me. I'm still in love with her and holding out to see if she will changer her mind.

Yep - matching jackets guy here - wife and I are at the same place. I'm counting down the years until my youngest is an adult then we're done. I try to make it stop hurting by the dulling it with alcohol - it sometimes works.

Um I decided I was not sexually attracted, and wanted to behave too. And telling me you didn't smoke and pulling out a cigar ruined it for me.

I know exactly how you feel. Sadly, she still claims we are soulmates to everybody, but they have no clue how detached she has made herself from me. I'm so embarrassed that I allow it to continue...

4 up... you are staying in an unhappy marriage for the sake of your kids and dealing with it by numbing your pain with alcohol? You should re-evaluate and realize that you are your kids would be much better off if you left, had a happy life, and were not a numb drunk. It will hurt, but they will be much better in the long run. TRUST ME
