They will understand in time, just be there for them. Being in a negative environment can be much more detrimental to them in the long run than the divorce. Just have faith that everything will work out for the best. Good luck to you as you have some tough times ahead.

Oh, they will blame you. Believe it. I have just gone through it. My teenagers won't even speak to me even though I was the best Dad ever for 15 years. You can't win and that b**** you were married to won't help your case at all no matter what she says to the contrary.

I hear you brother. I just left my second marrage and second kid. The funny thing is that my ex's daughter still talks to me and cosiders me her father. My daughter from my first marrage dosn't talk to me and my son (7)from the second keeps telling me I'm the best daddy ever and keeps slipping other mens names which means mama's getting some. I can't remember the band but the line is "I've made a mess of me now I want to live like I'm alive." Stay the course.
