This is YOUR gift from god. He doesn't give us what we can't handle. Remember what you do now and how you handle this situation is what your child is learning off of. Show him so much love you can't stand it. This is what your son needs all of mommas love. Unconditional love, with no boundries or limitations.

Very good comments. Ditto. Your baby is always a miracle no matter what. His physical health is not your fault. But it's up to you as his Mommy to make sure that his emotional health remains strong. He is your son. Just continue to love him and his scars will only be on the surface. xox

I am the OP...thanks everybody for the comments...I was expecting to get nasty ones. I thank God for everyday with him. His dad checked out when he was just over a month old and it's just hard because every one of those scars represent a time I signed his life away to some stranger with a knife, something I wish no parent would have to do. That count is forever in the back of my mind...thinking about all those times I chose to potentially kill him...

We are all stuck in this inferior physical condition, but eternity with the Lord will be so perfect. My wife and I have 2 little ones in heaven, and a great 5 yr. old daughter who loves Jesus, and we can't seem to have another, but thank God for our family in Heaven. Keep up your Good work, you must be an amazing person, that God would trust such a special little person to your care.
