I bet you fight the feeling that you are a good person because of things you have done. I went through the same thing and thought i was fooling everyone that i was a good person. Instead i realized a bad person wouldn't care. We all make mistakes get over it and move on.

I have that issue also. Girls say when they look into my eyes they see the the demon I push so far down. I am not a violent or mean person. As least not that should ever know of. I have hurt anyone. But it seems more apparent that everyday thats who people want to see. God help those that have crossed me if that day comes. Till then Push hard. Walk tall. Keep smiling!

Everyone has a light and a dark side. What goes wrong is whem people don't acknowledge their own darkenss and don't seek to heal from whatever it is made up with. When people pretend they don't have a dark side is when the darkness creeps out... sometimes in subtle ways and other times in more extreme ways. Your mom has disociative identity disorder (correct term for what you are describing) and she has it because she was probably severley abused and in order to survive, pretended to the extreme it didn't happen. She dissociates, leaves her body in a way, loses time and she has created other personalities to help her function, split parts of her essence. She needs to heal too. It is possible...I did.
