I feel like no one in my family really wants to understand me or even loves me. I love them but I am tired of being the odd one out and trying with them.

You probably try too hard and just annoy the crap out of everyone. Just let go. If they like you they like you, if they dont they dont stop trying so hard. People like you are annoying.

I knwo this feeling. If you are young still meaning you still live with your fmily, then sorry to say that it will only get worse. You will always be distant. The only one who can change that is you, but after getting no effort on thier part to get to know you, love you, hang out with you, etc, then you will grow tired of trying also and unfortunatly stop communicating. It will go this way. I don't really know how to tell you it won't. I know; this is my scenerio. The people in your family arereally no diffrent than strangers you've never met, some are cool some are pricks. Life blows!

I'm in the same place as you, but I just stopped caring about them. Hell, my mom lives about 3 miles from me but I only see/talk to her on Christmas and maybe 2 other times a year at best. I sometimes go on motorcycle rides with my brother, but not that often. Trust me, if you seperate yourself from them, you'll have alot let drama and frustration.

^ you sound like me..my mom lives around the corner, I nevre talk to her, because she never calls me. Oh well I guess. It doesn't get easier though it's still tough to feel this lonely.

This is a very racist picture and statement.

It's not meant to be racist... it is a common expression to describe the odd one out, meant to describe a situation where a family sees themselves as good and pure and one member to be bad and wierd. I apologize if it makes you feel uncomfortable. Maybe if I said I was the purple sheep in the family, that would help you feel better?

But you didn't say purple, the pic said BLACK, and that is a slam against all BLACK people. SHAME ON YOU

I called my sister. "Hey, Sis? Mom had four kids - who's the black sheep?" She laughed. "Don't you know Mom had four black sheep?"

3 up. It's not a racist picture dummy! It's all about being the black sheep of the family. Get rid of that slave mentality.BLACK SHEEP RULE!!!!!! (I am one)

Seriously? Grow up about the black and white. I am the only fag in a bible belt family, now that's black sheep!!

You,re not the odd one, you,re the special one.

Sometimes there's a "different" one in the family because the "NORMAL" ones have lessons to learn. They tend to ignore that fact because they are too busy ganging up on the "black sheep".

Family are just people that you happen to share genetic information with. True friends are a greater asset then family any day.
