How am I hurting others? By getting annoyed when they talk in Spanish all day, a language I don't understand? When they take me to places and insist on walking around everywhere even though I'm in heels and my feet ache? When she takes me out to dinner and it's a place I really don't like? As far as I'm concerned, my annoyance, fleeting as it is, isn't hurting anyone. =)

LOL I was the poster, and the one who said "what does culture have to do with love". So, uhm, I DID read. LMAO. I sometimes feel like I don't like my mother in law as much as I did when we first met, you know, people change, and all that. But I don't want to be one of those people who says "I hate my mother in law they're all dumb b****es" and stuff. She's so nice, such a great person, but sometimes. . . she gets on my nerves. IDK. It's really my biggest secret. . . wierd how it made me feel normal after reading some of the others on here.

I feel the same way sometimes about my boyfriends mother but i love him oh so much. But you and I are different, I tell her I dont want to go anywhere with her and she is only invited to the house for special events or when im not home...needy b****..I feel ya girl...get some balls and let her know how you feel.

As family, you have to try to love her. You don't have to always like her. As far as the shoes go, don't be a petulant child. Get flats. Hell, get joggers, and enjoy the exercise.
