Don't worry, they will be "whole again" after they die... I think so, anyways.

Stephen King addressed this in his book Duma Key. I cried when I read it cuz I didn't know anybody else understood what it was like to survive a traumatic brain injury and come back different.

My sons father got stuck by a car while walking in a crosswalk, very sad. His recover was long and I don't believe all the way becuase he is a totally different person. I hung in until he got on his feet and then I had to leave 'this new person'. I feel for you, it's a hard road.

Depending on the severity of the head injury, the old personality can return. The brain is awesome, but don't let this personality change kill you. See what some more time will do, and get some counseling.

This is very common after serious head injuries. Good luck and G-d bless.
