I feel that I coined the term "fruitcake" about 15 years ago. I used it extensively as a drill instructor and it upsets me when people use it so freely. If you THINK you are a fruitcake then you sir or maam are definitely NOT a fruitcake. It is the ones that KNOW that they aren't fruitcakes are the biggest fruitcakes of them all.
