Because men love these kind of women. The kind that can't do anything for themselves, the needy ones that can't or won't keep a job. It makes them feel like big men. As a woman, I both hate these women and want one for my own. Why wouldn't I want someone to boss around and take care of? I would keep her like a pet, but my dog would get more respect!

I'm with the OP. Anyone stupid enough to leave a healthy relationship for a terrible one deserves the punishment and torture. Let the abuser slap the kids around a bit and see how she feels.
