Based on your comments, your "special friend" wasn't very loyal. That's a shame. Sometimes people disappoint us. I hope and trust you will find new ones.

Go get Michael J. Fox's new book. Get over this person's inability to cope. It is no reflection on you. You have much friendship to offer to another who has lost a friend. Be good to yourself.

Don't you just want to set her on fire?! Take take take thats what most people are about. My bff for the last couple of years stops calling me around November and then wants to be freinds again in May. F that! Her bday is in June mine is in December. She acts like I'm the one that is wrong for not being excited she wants to hang out again. I threw her a party, and was always there for her, but who did I have all winter? She didn't even call on my birthday.

You're not alone - wife has MS and her friends abandoned her too.

Remember Karma? What goes around comes around. Just stay on the high road and you'll be fine. Lost my best friend too when I got MS. I'm fine but my friend has 19 years of really BAD luck!

When the disasters happen, that's when you find out who your friends really are! This is the truth!
