I am deathly afraid of grasshoppers. If I see one anywhere near me I slowly back away, getting out of the possible line of flight. This pic gives me willies.

OMG! I HATE them! I used to have dreams as a kid that the whole basement was covered in green grasshopper blood and I was on the stairs and slipping into it! ~Disturbed

When we were little we would go out in the fields and catch them and put them in a jar for fishing. It was exciting to watch them jump around. They would spit this brown juice out that we would call tobacco. I can still smell it.

OMG My husband and kids make fun of me for the same thing. lol When growing up my step- brother chased me till I cryed and screamed loud enough for my mom to get pissed and come out.. I hate them to this day.
