I ALWAYS wanted a daughter - I had 3 boys and gave up. But my boys are my life. Don't worry you'll love your little. Hang in there!

I was too until I held him. Then it didn't matter. He was perfect and beautiful.

i was really dissapointed when i found i out i was having son while pregnant. The first time I saw him after he was born, I realized how WRONG I was. but,I was sure the WHOLE time pregnanat, I was not gonna be able to love him as much if he wasn't a daughter. Sure glad i was WRONG. I did have a daughter after HIM, and she is a gift as well.

You should be happy that you can have a child.
You should also hope and pray that he doesn't come out with something wrong with him. Just realize that you are blessed.

Perhaps your child will be dissapointed with you as well.

I felt the same way. It does NOT make you a bad person.

I was reading the comments and kind of got a little mad.. It's normal to feel the way you do. My baby has special needs.. but I love him with all my heart. So no matter what the gender of your baby, and no matter what his mental status is you will fall in love with him the minute you hold him and you'll feel so bad for wanting him to be a girl.

I thought I wanted a girl too. When they said it was a boy I was disappointed. Now my son is 4 and I wouldn't change 1 thing about him. I see the little girls whining and I'm sooo glad I have my little man!!!

I understand all perspectives here, and every one bashing on this woman right now you need to be a bit less judgemental, every one has hopes and every one gets a bit dissapointed when their hopes dont seem to be coming true

You'll love him the moment you hold him, don't feel guilty that you wanted a girl, just promise never to dress him like a girl.

I don't know why people are so judgemental, being dissapointed when you can't get something you wanted is part of being human. So is getting past it and making do with the situation you are handed.

I was completely sure I was having a boy and cried for weeks that it was a girl. But she's pretty cool. It'll be okay.

I wanted my first child to also be a girl, but God blessed us with boys, twin boys, and my love for them is so overwhelming, my heart just melts. Now I think, what was I thinking? These precious boys are our life. Just wait until he is born, you will be surprised at how much your love for him will remove any disappointments you may have.
I'm pregnant again, and this time, will just wait till the baby arrives. We want to be surprised.

I understand what you think now, but don't worry. It will change as soon as he's here and you won't believe you were ever disappointed. You'll be okay and so will he. However, if you feel you have excessive depression after his birth, do get help right away, dear.

I would give ANYTHING to have a son. My worst fear is that I'd have a daughter who is just like me.

Remember you don't choose the child, the child chose you to be the parent he/she needs.
