Hate to break it to you but if you're lucky enough to have a second life, it's not going to be much better than your last one till you fix what's wrong here. Just like the movie "Ground Hog Day". Nothing will change and you will keep making the same mistakes until you change yourself.

I too used to ask God to take me. Then I met a woman who I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Out of that disastrous relationship came the most wonderful gift God could have given me: My daughter. I still have to work hard at keeping my head together (no drugs, just hard work), but I thank God every day for not hearing my initial prayer.

Next life better? You could have been born in some african country with flies crawling across your lips, happy to eat flour and water paste. Or born blind. Or be that retarded kid up the street You have it better than most people in the world.

It is what you make of it. However, I must admit I feel the same way.

The next one will absolutely be no better than what you make of this one. You have a choice every moment, whether to have a positive attitude or a negative one. Most people who post here, constantly make the wrong choice. The downward spiral NEVER turns around, until YOU turn it around !
