I dream of doing that sometimes. I think the above post may be right though. Make sure you do it right. Contact a lawyer to see what you need to do, so he can't charge you with anything.

I'm doing the same exact thing. I will be graduating in one year with a degree in education, and I'm getting the hell out of this hick town. My two older kids will be in college themselves, and my little one already knows that we're leaving. I feel like I'm waiting for my life to begin and the future is mine finally. Go for it, you deserve a fresh start!

If you are the natural partent of a child, you cannot be charged with kidnapping unless there is a court order saying that you cannot take the kids.
