Find a person and do something to make them love you. Channel the resentment into something positive. Get married and have a kid or two and love them unconditionally. Forget the bad parent.

I agree with the above post. My mother's mom never really showed her any love. No matter how hard my mom tried, her mother just used her for money, gifts, ect. My grandmother was only 15 when she had my mom. She ran around and drank a lot. The bad thing is my mom in turn doesn't know how to love or show love. I'm breaking that cycle. My son knows I love him more than anything in the world. I tell and show him daily.

Love isn't a choice we can make...it's either there or it isn't. You can't make someone love you anymore than you can stop the sun from shining.
