I had the same problem... Minus the glue trick. I had a tooth that had broken and I didn't have any money or insurance. However I did have a business. So, I called up half a dozen dentists in my area and set up appointments. After the dentist had looked at my tooth and told me how much it would be to fix it, I said.. "wow, that's a lot of money and I don't have insurance or the cash". Then I said.. but.. I do have an advertising business that I just started, would you be interested in doing trade? Most said no.. but one said he would think about it.. I came back for my follow up appointment.. and he said "Yes, I'll do it for trade".. I said great.. how much dental work are you willing to do? He said "All of it". My bottom jaw hit the floor. I had 13 cavaties, a broken tooth up front that needed a bridge, an implant as a molar, and whitening. Grand total of over $10,000.00 of work for trade. If you have a skill set, and you try this method.. it just may work for you.

I am the one who posted this. No it is not a hoax, I did not copy it from CNN,I wish this was a bad dream. It is real, I glue it in and it is good for about 18 hours, I know I cannot keep this up, it sucks. I am hiding this from my girlfriend too. To the person that gave me the advice to go to the dental school and to the person that gave the idea to trade services thank you very much...I am a plumber so maybe it might work. ......believe me having your front tooth break off as an adult is very depressing and mood altering....humbling.

You are very welcome. I hope it works out for you. What will suck is if your tooth falls out while you're sleeping and you swallow it. Then the gig is up. I know it can be downright embarrassing. Your teeth are the first thing people look at as they are looking to see if you are a smiling face. I lacked confidence for so long because my teeth were not that great. Now.. I'm a whole new man. My teeth are brighter.. and you can't tell by looking at them that I've had work done. It's raised my confidence level emensely. Being a plumber you are going to have a tougher job finding a dentist that is in the market for plumbing.. I would suggest you look for anything you could do to fix whatever it is that may need to be done. Gutters, cabinets, etc.. You're a plumber so that means you have a thinking mind mentality and can fix a lot of different things. Just keep your mind open when you go in. Think of it as an interview for them too. They will look at your teeth for free so nothing lost but your time. Don't forget to ask if they have anything at home that needs worked on too.

Hey one more thing to remember.. Do not cut him a deal if he wants to do trade. You trade full rate, because he will do the same and you don't want to sell yourself short.

lol.. another thing.. when calling dentist.. do not ask if they do trade on the phone. Present that after the dentist gives you the price. Also.. dont call on national chain dentistries.. Call on local guys... Ok.. I'm done..lol.. If you have any questions.. just ask.

I live in LA and I see USC Dental school people (interns?) placing ads in Craigslist looking for people who want free dental done. This may be the case for other cities too.
