Many times people say things that they don't mean when they are drunk. But sometimes they say things that they do mean. It is up to you to decide if he meant what he said or not.

OMG I have said things that afterwards I think "Now Why the **** did I say that?" I think it is an occasional temporary defect in our reasoning where we take something that's really not that important (say, like how you look to me at that stupid moment in time) and act out irrationally and immaturely by saying something that we really don't believe is true. Might I call it my "transient ischemic attack of infantile emotion". I have a history of it and it has come close to destroying my life. Please, this may be what you experienced. From one who has those occasional "TIA-IE" 's please accept my apology.

He was speaking introspectively. He's mirroring what he feels about HIMself. Honestly. He's disgusted with himself- not you.Be well.

Give him another chance, if he is the love of your life it's worth another chance.

That's what you decided was the love of your life. Sounds like you settled into that too soon. 6^ Perhaps he was speaking introspectively. Perhaps it's a wasted effort to give your life to someone who thinks they are disgusting while projecting that onto you.
