My sister was like this. She kept "attempting" suicide, someone would find her, save her and she'd get all the attention. When the attention would fade, she'd do it again. No one stopped her the last time. She's been gone for 10 years now.

My son's best friend used to do this sort of thing too. This last time..the noose tighted too much cutting off oxygen to his brain. He's dead now. A slow, painful, agonizing death.
