Didn't you learn, somewhere between child #1 and child #4, that kids are an immense drain of life energy? It may be difficult, but can you try to find groups or clubs that could help? That whole idea of it taking a whole village to raise a child is true- find play groups or babysitting co-ops with other parents where a bunch of people can share a collective burden.

Absolutely, kids do suck the life out of you and keep wanting more. It is exhausting. Definitely make time for yourselves or you will be resentful.

Oh man do I get it! I have 5 myself and while I love them dearly.....they drive me freaking insane!!! Of course all these idiots are going to judge you because that is all they know. But I know what you mean. Fortunately there are great moments to, it just gets clouded by all the ciaos they create.

When people ask me how many kids we have I say "TWO...many!". And that's not the worst of it. My daughter is 25 and has nothing at all to do with the 4 year old son of her's that we're raising because we didn't want to see him go into the foster system in this backwards state we live in. Gotta say we love him so much (and her too but she doesn't make it easy)... If only they'd make you take a "parent test" (like a driver's test) BEFORE you have kids..., I know I would have never gotten a "license".

first of all any parent should understand that at times things get crazy and feelings of being overwhelmed can set in. i have 4 kids and there are times i cant wait for them to go to bed just so i can breath and have a break. and theres not a damn thing wrong with feeling that way.
and to the person who wrote "simple solution: drown them in the tub"...i really hope that you dont have children because id hate to see what you do to them on a bad day. you need help if you do have kids.

Sometimes I feel like duct taping my 4 and they are the greatest, smart and cute, mind as well as I make them, adorable and TOTALLY EXHAUSTING! It is just natural to be tired at the end of the day, and mom and dad NEED that grown up time to be good parents.( and maybe a big fatty )

I posted this! Wow.. u guys are amazing! They are not all ours together. We were previously married. So.. no.. we didn't keep having children upon children. If you don't have kids, you won't get it. We do everything for these kids and sacrifice everything. Don't be so quick to judge!!!!

I raised 4 boys and couldn't wait to wake them up every morning. They GIVE life, not suck life. You might have some things out of line right now, but it gets better and better and one day they're all grown up and gone...then you wish for these moments...
