op here, "cheapness", what do you know of my monetary situation? I can hardly make ends meet. If I wasn't finding salmon in a dumpster I'd be eating rice and pasta every night or maybe even have no choice but food stamps. And there is plenty more out there for anyone who wants it, they are welcome to it, it's far more than I could ever use. If anyone came hungry while I was in a dumpster I'd be glad to help them sort through it. What do you propose I do? sort through and hand deliver it to people who refuse to take responsibility for themselves? Go on welfare or panhandle? No thanks. Why don't you blame the stores for tossing it when they could be donating it to shelters and soup kitchens?

Freegans of any type rule! 40,000 kids a day die from lack of food related issues, dumpster food is good karma, if you believe in karma, and you are right, dumpster divers do get the high end food that people can't afford to buy.

IN MANY STATES AND PROVINCES IT IS ELEGAL(STUPID LAW)TO DONATE FOOD FROM RESTURANTS.I WORKED ON A MILATARY BASE HERE IN CANADA AND AFTER BUFFETS AND SUCH WE WERE TOLD TO THROW OUT ALL REMAINY FOOD.I WAS FORCED TO THROW OUT A WHOLE SALMON NOT EVEN TOUCHED.I TOOK IT HOME GOT CAUGHT AND WAS CHARGED WITH THEIFT.MY EFFIN TAXES PAID FOR THE FISH
