Its probably about the attention. I don't think its about money. When you are a pregnant woman you get a lot of attention. Then theres the excitement of the birth, what your baby will look like. Boy or girl? I don't think young people think of money issues or that the little person in their belly is actually a human being who needs millions of dollars in care.

Sweetie, today's world can be a very difficult place. I think you know that you are too young to have even one child. I agree that you just want attention and security. You're afraid of the uncertainty of life...your future. Just focus on your one child. You need a sense of meaning and purpose in your life. Now that you have a child, (s)he HAS to be your priority. You brought that child into the world and it is your DUTY to give that child all the opportunities that (s)he deserves. If you do it right you will also grow tremendously. Learn and learn fast and think hard and don't be afraid and don't have another baby until you are old enough to know that you have a good enough reason for wanting one. Consider adopting an orphan. There are already enough children in the world. We can't even take care of all the ones there are now. Stay strong!!!

I agree with an earlier poster, I am 22 and have a beautiful three year old son. After having him I got the IUD and ended up with PID which caused savere scarring in my uterus. Now I can not have anymore children. If you truly want more children for the right reasons have more.

There's no rush. Take your time. Remember you have one baby that needs care, attention, lots of love, and family right now. Give that baby all you have and plan for the future. When you find your family is ready to grow and prepared then take that step knowing that God will provide.
