I wake up from sleep sometimes, and I've dreamt she came into the bedroom, jumped on the bed, and slept at my feet. I sit up as quickly as I can to see if it's true. It's been 20 years and I still do it.

My heart goes out to you. Some times I think it's better when they pass away, at least then you know where they are and you don't keep looking for them. I always took in others, there are so many that need our love and care.

if this is due to a break-up, dont wait for them 2 come back, go get them. I broke up with my wife, missed her immensly all along, waited for her to come to me, in the meanwhile she died, such deep regrets for not going to her & grabbing her & telling her how much she meant to me. dont wait, take your own action, for all you know they are sitting looking out their window wishin the same. dont b foolish

After browsing many of these "secrets," this is the one that struck me most. I also miss our dear old 18-yr-old cat who disappeared a couple of years ago. He was very special. We think the dog next door got him. There was a stetch of time when we lost several cats in succession.

Just to let you know if the cat disappeared and was older, they go off to the big cat graveyard...My buddy Pumpkin, adopted from shelter and bonded to me, was like a dogg would fetch and bring toy back , followed me like dog, if you saw him you knew I was nearby. he got out of the house I saw him in the water drains couple times, even though he knew me and would only come to me he would run down in dry drains, one time he almost came to me on next door step jumped missed and banged his face looked at me like why did you hit me and was gone, never saw him again, they go off to die, it is like he didn't want me to find him dead one day which would have really broken my heart, so he went off to die somewhere...I miss him
