I agree, don't be so hard on your self. Again, the military part heightens emotions, but is not the point. He was gone, you were tempted. It happens so much that when I worked in a sea-going profession we used to say that "if being gone doesn't ruin your marriage, coming home will". If you are suffering with your guilt, get some help with that, but I'd be careful about whether to tell him. More important that you get it straight in your head which way you really want it to come out. Best of luck in a tough situation.
