The saying "Two wrongs don't make a right" comes to mind. You can't decide to cheat on someone because they hurt you, then blame your guilt over cheating on that person. Yes, being hurt sucks. But saying "You hurt me, so I'm going to hurt you" is just plain immature. You made the decision to cheat all by yourself (as opposed to talking about the hurt, or going to counseling, or something else that involves a little bit of sanity); the guilt that resulted from you cheating is no one's fault but your own. Stop blaming the person who hurt you and take a good long hard look at yourself.

my husband would abuse me emotionally, physically and verbally, I cheated on him, he found out and took me back... but i wish he hadn't. I know exactly how you feel. He's still not over the affair and he gets upset still over a year later and it just makes me resent him more. I know how you feel

When I found out my husband was cheating I went for the first time ever to a bar where his friends hung out. I made sure they knew I picked up a guy and f***ed his brains out.The next morning I ended our marriage for I couldn't stand to look myself in the mirror. All I did was to give him reason for being with HER.Two wrongs are just that... wrong.
