i was molested by the neighbors (the son and uncle). from the age of 7 to 11. you learn to live with it, but it never, ever goes away. i haven't had sex since my divorce -- 16 years ago. i'm 44.
btw, this is in NO way a defense, but there is a good chance your cousin was abused as well.

I was molested as a young girl; you never get over it. That aside, 13 years old is still young by some standards. Their sexual existence has just arrived. I hope you get the help you need. As for the cousin - well, he was 13, and he is hopefully a different person now. It was disgusting what he did, but you can't judge a 13 year-old like an adult - as awful as it was.

He was only a child himself, he was only experimenting. The same thing happened to me but I don't blame him. Parents should watch children closer they are very sexual beings same as adults.

words cannot describe how you must be feeling. omg. but I think allot of what everyone else is saying..but no matter what you were younger and you were the victim!! so your pain is worse in this case-- the predator may have been a victim too and 13 but not in this situation, and may feel horrible about what happened now.. I would not trust the person around children. maybe say something to the effect that you remember, perhaps talk to the police-because he may be doing it to others, and seek therapy.
