I am 53 and feel the same way. Only now, I'm afraid it's closer to ending than beginning.

This is it, darling. Your life is in progress, and the time is running out second by second. This is not a dress rehearsal. Use this day wisely; for tomorrow, it is gone forever.

This happens to me so much I have to tell myself that I am living right this moment. This IS my life.

If it isn't happening to you, you can't get it. Your advice is worthless.

I think I have truly 'lived' about four times already. I'm 53, and having to begin again. ROUND 5 !!!!!

What is it you're waiting for? LIFE DOESN'T COME TO YOU!!! If you're affraid of something bad happening as a result, then just remember: expect the best, prepare for the worst.

"What I really need is to get clear about what I must do, not what I must know, except insofar as knowledge must precede every act. . . . The crucial thing is to find a truth which is truth for me, and to find the idea for which I am willing to live and die. Of what use would it be to me to discover a so-called objective truth, to work through the philosophical systems so that I could, if asked, make critical judgments about them, could point out the fallacies in each system; of what use would it be to me to be able to develop a theory of the state, . . . and constructing a world I did not live in but merely held up for others to see; of what use would it be to me to be able to formulate the meaning of (anything) . . . if it had no deeper meaning for me and for my life?"
Soren Kierkegaard.
I fought life for a long time.. now I'm letting life take me. The universe is a good provider.

I believe it would help to start listening to your intuition. The third eye. You already have what you are wanting, you just have to work it like a muscle. The answers come when you start asking. Its the law of attraction and you will come know yourself and have a great life :)

Huh, 302.6 is gender identity disorder...302.8x is in the paraphilias area of the DSM IV... and what does that have to do with the above. All psyco babble aside... Waiting for life to happen is avoiding it...Life happens regardless of your participation and you can either be amazed by it or watch it go by.

"Use this day wisely; for tomorrow, it is gone forever." -- I love this quote, even though it depresses me to think about it.

Your comment could mean many things. If the number 302.85 means anything to you, then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. If not, then as posters 2,3 and 4 have said in different ways, this is it. We all have to do the best we can with the cards we're dealt. Don't agonize over the fact that it's not fair. Only people who were born with advantages think life is "fair".
