I never read the series when I was younger for reasons I can't explain but when I started reading it on a whim this year, I fell in love. Harry Potter saved me.

Harry Potter isn't real life. Check out real life and read into it.

Who are you people to say that's a sad life? Have you ever read a book in your life?

I read books all the time, but I know Harry Potter isn't real life. Get a clue.

^2 I guess this means one of us is turning pro. That's what I get for being self taught and keeping my own council. Kind of foolish, I know.
Remove this stupid comment

^ Not so foolish. Then again, no one is truly self-educated. We may be self-motivated to learn no matter the setting or because of a particular one, but learning is a cooperative effort from the beginning.

Reading the entire Dune series (Frank Herbert's only) will increase your IQ by 5-100 points depending on what it is to start with. I actually saw a cucumber turned Stephen Hawking groupie put on a play about interstellar particle acceleration...all before getting to Heretics.

^you lost me at cucumber...maybe I need to read Dune to understand your post?? Do you have long dark hair by any chance?

A fictional character saved you?? It's time to get rid of some cats and take a bath and leave the house once in a while.

4^ yeah I've read books. But I also have a job, family, friends, hobbies, travel and fuCk on a regular basis. That's your problem. Put down the damn book and get a life. There's a big world out here. It's alot better in real life than reading about it.

Most every poster here is lacking in intelligence. You can learn a lot from fiction. ahem, anybody here realize that Shakespeare wasn't writing about "real life"? But he was.

4^ I have all of those things as well and reading happens to be one of my hobbies. You think because you're behind a computer you can insult someone like that? You seem to think we're all dirty hippies who don't get out much, reality check, not everyone who reads is like that. Fuck off.
