OP- I'm pretty much in that situation. Embrace it. Once you do it really is freeing. I used to think that it was going to be a horrible life for me- all alone. But it occurred to me that with not having a "significant other" I can go where I want, when I want, with whom I want. And I dont have to check in with anyone. What's not to love about that?!?!
