He passed away yesterday. He was a national hero. I hope someday his face is carved into Mt. Rushmore.

OK, I wouldn't say he was a hero or go so far as to say his face needs to be carved into stone BUT he shouldn't have done a day in jail because he didn't just pick a random person, run up to them and kill them! He was BEGGEG by these people to help them end their pain. I personally wouldn't do that. I would rather go the Hospice route and let God take me when it's my time but I still believe it's each person's choice to make. He was just trying to help people the way we help our pets not to suffer.

He was a loser that someone SHOULD have "helped" die much sooner. He is getting his just rewards right now. Terror and horror beyond Yours small minds.

I wouldn't go that far, but he had the right idea. Euthanasia is merciful and kind. Further, people should have the right to end their own life with assistance at any time they so choose and in any circumstance. Think of the jobs, taxes, and less people on medicare and medicaid with the decrease of poor people. Sounds like a winner republicans!

One day, we are the human race will realize that our lives cannot go on forger, some will fail body wise early in life, others will go on for a long time. Dr K - took care of the desire of someone who failed in his body and not his spirit, and it was a human act of kindness - I believe the days of our religion dictating how long we need to go on in a failed body and sometimes mind state - I wish we all had the option of saying its time to go, and getting it done. God Bless Him and may he rest in peace.

I don't want to see him on rushmore but I agree he did the right thing for ppl who wanted to end their lives. I know ppl who have commit suicide and it's hard on the living left behind but I feel that we all should have the right to live or die as we please. I personally would face the pain until I died naturally but that is my choice.

He did not have the right to help those people take their own lives. Nothing heroic about him. He deserves to be classed with the Boston Strangler.

i think what he did was a very good and humane thing i dont think i personaly could do it myself, but what he did was help people end thier pain people that had no other hope of a pain free life. not like it was just some emo kid going (I wish i was dead im going to kill myself) kinda thing for gods sake. it was a good thing he did for lots of people, and im sure the peoples familysdidnt exactly jump for joy over the idea, but im sure they much rather see thier loved ones no longer suffering. my hats off to him and mat he R.I.P.

3^ The picture is of Jack Kevorkian, the "suicide doctor". He helped several people end their lives because they were terminally ill and didn't want to wait any longer to die. He spent something like 21 months in prison for assisting people to commit suicide. He died a couple days ago - he was in his 80s.
