Consider the cost/benefit ratio. Opening the "third eye" is not easy or painless. Most have neither the education or training to do so. It isn't necessarily useful either. Perceiving infinity for example, simply has no practical application for daily life. It's just there. What can you do with it? Nothing, as far as I can tell, other than change your time perception and induce precognition with a 2 or 3 second threshold. There are other practices to pursue which bring peace and joy. Should not those be emphasized?

I believe you are correct. There is something else. It is within us and all around us. I don't know what it is, but it is there and it can help us if we let it.

Take your meds. That "third eye" BS means you have started to lose what littel mind you had.

^I always laugh a littel at those who have been so conditioned and programmed that they have rendered themselves as willing slaves. We all have intuition as well as other sensory abilities. Our culture has repressed these things deliberately to control us. But that is failing for most of us and we are reclaiming our birth rights. Hopefully you will get off of your meds and join the rest of us.

For those with faith, no explanation is necessary. For those without, no explanation is possible.

^ I don't call it faith, I have proof of experience. You're right though, no explanation is necessary, but it doesn't stop us from trying to explain.

Since when did atheism have anything to do with the existence of reality beyond our senses? Atheism is just a belief that there is no Creator(s), it doesn't assume that science has reached its apex and we know all there is to know.

I believe your "third eye" is in your ass. The same spot in which you are speaking from.

Your "intuition" is the whisper of naked baby angels. Think about it.

im atheist. inntuitions a real thing. in times when we had to deal with other tribes raiding our tribe or dealing with the behavior of wild man eatting animals , intuition provided a short cut to assessing the situation for survival.i dont know why anyone ascribes that to god or an outside force but whatever.

^WTF? For real? You sound like one of those new age snake oil salesmen. You don't need education or training. You just need to be open to your intuition and practice using it like a muscle. It is in fact very useful to have the third eye open as it can haelp one to better navigate everyday pitfalls for starters. And though having the 3rd eye open does not gaurentee peace and joy all of the time as sometimes it makes one aware of things that are very uncomfortable, why are peace and joy the only goal. Again, you sound like a complete farce, like one of those trying to control and repress the intuition of others. BTW I see you lol

What ARE you morons talking about. Yeh, I've always heard of the 'third eye', but you know what, if you have the Holy Spirit in your life, you don't need a third eye. What you need to wake up to is the saving power of Jesus Christ -- stop relying on your own "intuition."

There is some truth for the need of training or understanding. Nothing is worse than a bunch of mishmash visions that show no coherency. It is weird to see where certain people are at times, when there is no need to.
