I didn't say it was a convenient or necessarily kind feeling but it IS how I feel. We have been best friends our ENTIRE life and I know for a fact she told MANY other people before she told me...I just don't understand why I was the last one to find out when I have stood by her through so much. It is just confusing to me...(btw, she is responding excellently to treatment and they say that she is already in remission. :) )

Yeah because this is all about YOU. Your BFF is facing a shortened life. How about being a loving supportive friend instead of a prima-donna about the situation?

You have no idea how difficult it is to tell your loved ones that they may soon be losing you. Perhaps she's angry with her sister for choosing such an inappropriate means of communicating her illness.

I had cancer. You are freaked out enough without walking around repeating it to everyone(and therefore to yourself over and over) that you are dealing with a killer disease.
