I am 58 and re entered the dirt bike scene at 40. I have raced and trophied in my age class...I know 70yo guys that race and ride every weekend. It takes 6 weeks for most bones to heal...no matter what your age...also the new bikes are awesome!!! Power and suspension you have to ride to believe :)

My Dad was in his late 70 and rode a quad on the farm. But then, he also survived the Normandy invasion so what would he to be afraid of hurting?

I hear you! When I was younger, I always wanted a 'Vette, and at that time, a good used 'Vette was affordable, even with a family to suppport. Now I can't get in or out of a 'Vette easily because of all my torn cartilage, etc. The moral of this story:You live once - go for who you want while you can enjoy it!
