was the best friend aware of the boyfriends doings? if so then yeah there's an issue there. if not i wonder what the other side of this story really is. people dont usually just threaten friends of loved ones unless A) their watching out for the loved one or B) psychotic. in either case i'd say be careful. unless of course u deserved it. then i say more power to the boyfriend for caring that much about their significant other.
