My husband and I were married with I was 17 and he was 19. We are getting ready to celebrate our 14 years of marriage. I personally think its ashamed so many people get divorced. Granted, every marriage isnt perfect...Not even mind. I cant say I blame you for making that remark!

OK, back to the OP. Anyone says that kind of snide, juvenile, condescending remark to his/her own spouse is a shitbag and your relationship has degenerated. Leave him, for BETTER.

Lack of discrimination. People are so wrapped up in themselves they fail to see the other person and anticipate.

3^ It's not the vows that ever held the meaning, it's the people.

For better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health till DEATH DO YOU PART! Marriage is NOT to be taken lightly. It's a promise you made in front of family and friends and God himself. If your spouse goes off and dissolves the marraige there's nothing you can do about it but it's on his soul, not yours.

Marriage is a huge sham. Divorce him. Take what you need and remember that.

With the divorce rate at more than 50%, vows are meaningless. Especially when you are unhappy in the marriage. They mean nothing.

^^It isn't about intregrity; it is about reality. More than 50% of marriages fail in America. It bumps up to 75% for second marriages. This is happening in a country where something like 82% believe in god. You say I have no integrity?

3^ Oh lookie, it's someone else who has no integrity assuming that no one else has any either.

Oh plllllease! You make a vow and it is law? Try making a verbal agreement with your Visa/ Master Card and see if they give you a credit card. A vow does not mean shit. It is just a formal tradition concocted by any society.

3^ Many marriages are huge shams. Yes, even if the temporary vows are spoken in front of "God himself"!
