Start with your doctor. He will/should refer you to a counseler. Your words sound far too common, in that "sweet when he is not mad", but he beats you when he is, makes him an a** ****. He is abusing you, and it is not ok!!!! EVER! You are probably a perfect mom! Most moms are, but you will never know whats good, and what is bad, if some "sweet" a** **** hits you because he had a bad day. Talk to someone. Anyone! A friend at work. Anyone. Just don't start talking to Jesus. He cannot help in real crisis.Personally, I would get a 12 inch carving knife, and whilst he is asleep, wake him gently with the knife at his throat, and scream at him, that if he ever hits you again, for any reason, you will either poke the knife in his eye, or cut his balls off. Your choice. Tell the "sweet" bully that you will allow yourself to be hit, only if he is prepared to accept the consequences.

Dont wake him with a knife to his throat. Thats not a smart move that will end with you in jail for threatening him...and you loosing your child to cps. Dont do that. But do talk to a counceler. I too was abused by my exhusband and I have tons of tips for you if you need to get out. I am now a single mother and not only am I happier, but my four old daughter is much happier.
