the life you had before your child is not the same now as it was then. everything and everyone changes in time. the life you have now can be the most rewarding you will ever know. love, nurture, protect and invest in this child - the love is unconditional.

You are completely normal as long as you are not obsessed with your life before your child. It's OK to miss the old days occasionally, but you have to live in the now and plan for the future.

Completely understand. I miss the freedom to go do what I want when I want, or go shopping without a screaming two year old. But when they say I love you mommy it melts my heart and that is irreplaceable,I wouldn't change this life for the world.

Anyone with kids knows that feeling! We love our kids but life before was a breeze filled with money. After kids all your money goes towards them and your fun is watching them have fun! lol

^ sometimes parenthood comes, not planned, but you make the right choice and go with the flow. Thats not immature, and yes, sometimes you wish for the prebaby days back.. but wouldn't trade it for the world. Not every part of life is planned, but its better to stand up and be a woman/man. In the end you are a better person for it! And there isn't anything wrong with having the thoughts the OP expressed.

Or going out with your husband just because you can???!! Never?! I feel for your children because you are all liars and spend your time judging others.. You are a GOOD MOM OP. Eveybody has those thoughts. By the way ^2 being prepared to change everything does not mean you won't miss it here and there

Oh thank god...finally a real, honest secret. Bravo for your bravery, knowing you would have to face all the people who are delusional about their feelings about parenthood. You know, the same ones whose bogus secrets are, "I love my kids so, so, so much!!!!!"

Give urself a little break. We all daydream and then come back to reality. What I would do is to try and get a little time for yourself maybe a day or two. Take time to just relax and do things that you normally couldn't.. I'm a MOM and I completly understand. ;.)

Wow... I couldn't imagine wanting even a single second of my pre-baby life back. I think that some parents are just too immature, and have kids way too young. If you're not ready to change everything for a child, then you're not ready for parenthood.
